When we got her, our older chocolate lab Katy was sick, and through the last year and a half of her life, Sunny rarely left her side. I believe she was a tremendous comfort to our Katy and she got me through Katy’s loss. We had to put our elderly cat down after that, and Sunny intuitively comforted me. She has been my faithful companion through the Covid shut down, losing parents, pets, and becoming an empty nester.
Saving Grace was so wonderful through our adoption process. The care and treatment they gave her was extraordinary. They delivered and placed the litter of puppies Sunny had, spayed her, performed eye surgery, microchipped her, and treated her for heartworms. We’ve had Sunny for five years now, and she’s had a perfect clean bill of health at every annual exam!
I am so grateful every day, that Saving Grace saw something in Sunny (and so many other dogs!) and knew she deserved a second chance. She is my best friend, my dream dog, and my unofficial emotional support dog. She has given me far more than she’s asked for. I adore this girl.
