Joy of Adoption Story
Sandy FKA Oakley
After our dog of 17 years died our house was empty without the love of a dog. We arrived to see “Oakley” & it was love at first sight for her & my husband.
She dropped to her back & looked up at him adoringly as if to say, “please take me home!” He was smitten with her! We renamed her Sandy. She was 9 months old when we adopted her in January of 2020. Her circle of love now includes our granddaughter, with whom she shares a very special bond. Sandy sings loudly whenever Raelynn comes over until she pets & loves on her! Sandy is so smart because when we say “your girl” is coming, she will pop up and look for Raelynn. Sandy also knows her favorite words RIDE & WALK. and we have to be careful when we say them. Sandy loves going on adventures with us. She has enriched our lives so much I can’t imagine life without her!
