Our story is a little different from most rescue adoption stories. We were not planning to get a second dog. We liked the idea, but felt one was enough for us although we liked the idea of having two. Anyway, my niece adopted Hammie (aka Maple) and when I came with her to meet her new dog, Oakley was immediately drawn to her! It really was love at first sight and so I went home to tell my husband all about her. He came to meet her with me 2 days later and we adopted her right then and there!
Oakley has fit right into our family seamlessly. She bonded with her new sister Ellie instantly and she didn’t take long to realize we were her forever family. We are truly grateful that Saving Grace rescued Oakley from whatever situation she was in so that we could find her and give her a permanent home. Saving Grace is a beautiful place with a happy, warm & safe environment for all the dogs to enjoy while they await their forever home.
