Knowing you have provided a safe and loving home, given them other dog friends to be with, and giving them a new lease on life is a great feeling! Rescue dogs have added tremendous joy and unconditional love to our family. The day of adoption was no-stress, lots of dogs were available for us to meet, and our personal adoption coordinator was patient and helpful. We ended up adopting a dog we had not initially thought was our first pick, but the process allowed us to ensure we found the right dog for our family.
We adopted Ledecky, named after an Olympic swimmer, about 2 years ago. Ledecky was nervous and would not look at me or my husband, and took a few weeks to relax and trust us, but has transformed. She is a fun, spunky and silly doggie who loves to run and play, snuggle and keeps watch over the house. She and her two dog sisters have been to the mountains, the beach, and now is loving pool life, just like her old name. Joey has been the best dog we have ever had the luck to have come into our life. She has the best disposition, is sweet and sassy, and my personal cuddle bug! She has come such a long way in the last 2 years she has been a part of our family, and she has been, by far, the dog I have bonded most with in all my years of dog ownership. Everyday day with her is full of fun. We love our Joey!
