Cooper
“Finding Saving Grace Animals for Adoption was surely one of the best things that ever happened in my life.”
One day I was speaking to a neighbor who had just adopted an adorable dog named George and I knew this gentleman was certainly close to my age. I told him what I was encountering in my search to adopt a new best friend and he told me that he adopted George at Saving Grace Dog Rescue in Wake Forest!
I traveled the 3 hours from my home in Southport, NC on March 1st, 2023, and arrived to find the most wonderful dog rescue facility I had ever come across. Everyone was super friendly, and dogs were roaming around the grounds as happy as could be. Everything was brightly painted with flowers growing everywhere and there was a sense of fun and joy surrounding the rescue. There were so many people looking for dogs to adopt!!
The third dog she brought to me and placed in my lap was very different than the type of dog I thought I was looking for. However, before long, this little brown and tan dog locked eyes with me. Oh my, I thought…. He seems kind of special. As I held him and spoke with the counselor, he fell sound asleep in my lap. At that point I realized he was going home with me! At the first traffic light leaving Saving Grace, there was the cutest little car next to me, an adorable Mini Cooper!!! He was so cute and little, the name was a perfect fit for him!
Cooper has helped heal my heart and brought me such love and companionship. He is smart, waits for me to come home and is always excited to see me. It melted my heart. He has brought so much happiness to this senior lady. He loves all his toys and his big fenced in yard and I do believe he thinks he is my protector. Having Cooper in my life is joyous, he is a lap dog in the true sense of the word, whenever I’m sitting, he’s sitting with me. I am so very blessed with this little fellow beside me every day and I am so thankful to Saving Grace for allowing me to have this wonderful relationship.
