In 2016 I lost my childhood dog and was absolutely devastated. After a few months I felt it was time to venture into a new story with a new dog. I am a huge animal lover and feel that adoption should always be the first consideration.
I poured over websites looking for my next companion. I stumbled upon SG which had a unique story and I loved that these dogs were living on a cool property. We found a couple dogs on SG’s website we wanted to meet and showed up at the funny farm on December 2nd, 2016.

It was later in the evening, and we were immediately greeted by a staff member. We started mentioning dogs we were interested in seeing. We took one step and a sweet girl named Rebecca ran right up to us. She was one that I was eyeing on the site, and I mentioned this to the SG staff member. The SG staff member took us all to a quiet secluded place to get to know Rebecca a bit more. After about 20 mins of fawning over this girl we decided she was the one for us. The adoption process was a breeze, and we were supplied with a ton of great information to help us get started on this new journey.
We formally changed her name to Aria and have spent 8 wonderful years together, so far. I look forward to many more years together and continuing to make more memories. I am grateful every day that SG brought her into our lives.
