Joy of Adoption Story

ACE fka Boston

I’m so grateful to Saving Grace for creating such a nurturing environment for these wonderful dogs and for helping me find my new best friend.

After losing my “first born,” after 14 wonderful years together, I found myself heartbroken and unsure of how to move forward. The bond we shared was irreplaceable, and I wasn’t sure when I’d be ready to open my heart again. However, I quickly realized that my home felt beyond empty without a furry friend by my side.

When I decided it was time to adopt, Saving Grace was the place. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by an incredible sight: lots of dogs running around looking so happy and playful. Their joy was infectious, and I could feel my spirits lifting as I watched them play; wagging their tails and enjoying their time in the sun.

It didn’t take long for me to connect with Ace. Being a puppy, he was full of energy and curiosity, and I quickly found myself navigating the challenges of training and adjusting to his playful antics. There were moments of frustration, but each little milestone brought us closer together. Despite those initial hurdles, it became clear he was meant to be a part of my family. I found myself smiling more often and our home was filled with laughter again. We now have a very loving relationship and I look forward to waking up to his face every day. Even his doggy BFF is my BFF’s doggy! Adopting Ace has been the joy of my life. He has brought so much love and laughter back into my life, not only helping to heal the heartache I felt after my loss, but opening up a brand-new chapter of life with him.
